The original recording studio was purpose-built in 1989, operating under various names over the past 3 decades, and is situated in the picturesque Kent village of Stowting, surrounded by fields and pastures.

Designed meticulously from the ground-up, no detail was overlooked during the design stages, however the acoustics have recently been tweaked by renowned studio designer Nick Wittaker, bringing The Joplin House up to an even higher standard for 2023 and onwards.

The main studio consists of a large live room, a large booth (which can be opened up into the live room via bi-fold doors), a large spacious control room, amp/vocal recording room, isolation booth, lobby, lounge (with Smart TV and XBox), kitchen and bathroom with shower. The location is private and secure, with parking for 5 vehicles and private studio gardens.

All rooms in the studio have the option of being hooked up to the patchbay in the control room, giving clients a wide range of acoustic environments in which to record, and endless patching options.

The studio is known for its huge selection of vintage and modern guitar amps, pedals, drums and guitars, all of which of which are available to use at no extra cost.
