The studio was purpose-built in 1989, operating under the name 'Astra Audio' until 2002 in the picturesque village of Monks Horton, Kent. No detail was overlooked during the design stages, including the room ratios, floating floors, angled walls and ceilings, and strategically placed traps.

Anchor Baby Recording Company is set in it's own peaceful garden, overlooking the stunning scenery of the Kent countryside, and consists of a large live room, a large wood-panelled booth, huge control room, machine room, lobby, kitchen and bathroom with shower. All rooms in the studio have the option of being hooked up to the DDA analog console, giving clients a wide range of acoustic environments in which to record.

The studio boasts a huge selection of vintage and modern guitar amps including a super rare 1966 Gibson Titan, 1969 Laney Supergroup, original prototype Cornford RK100, Marshall 6100 30th Anniversary amp head, and pretty much everything in between.

See the extensive gear list below and let us know in advance of anything you may like to use so that we can make sure it's fully functional and not out on loan/awaiting repair.
